3 hours you won’t regret!!!!

Get “Snapping” it was an Awesome 3 hours and I wished for more. The guide (can’t remember his name) was very personnel, informative & gave us tips and showed us new technics I’d never thought about I used my IPhone as much as l used my Nikon. The Potlatch Park was Magical & a treasure for sure. I| liked the small group and the guide paid attention to all of us individually. I didn’t mind the rain and neither did any of the other group members, the guide had umbrellas and coffee/water just at the right time. Get off the boat and get some true treasure to remember and look at, well worth the time and $$$. Snap On!!! #oftbpkrocks

Great trek around Ketchikan

Forget the junk shops and see some beautiful vistas and hidden gems. As a photographer I appreciated our guide’s technical & practical suggestions and the places we went resulted in some beautiful images. My wife had a blast with her iPhone camera too. The gourmet cookies and fresh brewed coffee were great. Before you order salmon to ship home ask him about Fish From Trish, the fish lady. 5 stars and future repeat customer. Would recommend for friends and family.

Awesome!

I did this photo safari while cruising Alaska. Felix was our guide and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in getting me the best pictures of the areas we visited. The van was clean, roomy and very comfortable. The areas we went to were not just the average tourist spots. He helped us all to set our cameras to the best settings for the scene. His knowledge of Ketchikan was interesting and insightful. I would highly recommend adding this to your itinerary whether you are a professional or a novice photographer like me. We had really rainy, windy weather on our visit, but it was still my favorite part of the cruise! I just wish we had more time to see everything! Highly recommend this tour, well worth the money spent! I will do this again when I get back to Ketchikan! Thank you Felix for a wonderful trip!

Superb photography tour. We highly recommend.

This was a fantastic photo safari. James took us to numerous wonderful off the beaten path places to take some superb photos. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of photography and gave us some excellent tips on how to use our cameras better, which included a Nikon Coolpix P1000 and three iPhones. James was articulate, courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. We highly recommend this tour.

Enjoyable day and learnt so much.

Our favourite tour of Alaska, absolutely a must do excursion. Randy was our tour guide and was just perfect, so knowledgable, friendly and able to balance the needs of the small group he had with the itinerary of the tour, he went out of his way to find things to show us, including a bear we could observe for a while. We saw and learnt so much that day, not just wildlife but how to take better photos, techniques we have been playing around with ever since. Brilliant value for money. Highly recommend.

Best way to see & learn about the local sights

The only negative to this trip was the weather, since it rained on us the whole time. Even so, Rob made the trip very entertaining with his interesting trivia about the area, funny stories about the locals of Ketchikan from both the past and the present, and great advice relating to photo composition, depth of field, light compensation & such for both smart phones and regular cameras. Even with that advice though, I’ll admit the weather prevented some good shots, but I still had a great time, and I would absolutely do this again in a heartbeat, regardless of the weather.

Great Photo Trip

Great way to learn about Ketchikan and get great tips for taking pictures! Our guide was excellent. He was humorous as well as informative. He took us to several sites that we never would have gone. I have been taking pictures for 30 years and still learned things especially about my phone’s capabilities! I highly recommend this trip!
